Oroville ARC Store @ 2745 Oro Dam Blvd., 532.1272
Our many thanks to the following Sponsors of the Gift Wrap Booths: Stott Outdoor, Interwest Insurance, Sweeney and Sweeney Insurance, Dahlmeier Insurance and the National Charity League.
The ARC Store went through a wonderful transformation in 2009.
Both ARC Stores in Chico and Oroville were redesigned. All merchandise was reorganized with you, our valued customer, in mind. Our hope being that you’ll have a positive shopping experience… finding great prices, quality used items, friendly staff, a clean store… and want to return.

One of our new additions this year is the “Fabulous Fashion” section (seen above) run by Shelley Mayo, Chico Arc Store Supervisor. Shelley, our fashion guru and Twitter queen, has an eye for quality designer clothes and accessories.

She finds unique items among the donations and then displays them up front in the beautiful “Fabulous Fashion” section. Everyday there’s something different… and they move fast so come on in and see what’s new.
You will most definately find a great bargain on a quality item. Who knows, you just might be able to get all your gift shopping done and safe money at the same time.
Don’t forget that the proceeds from both ARC Stores funds the ARC’s Family Support Programs. Thank you for shopping with us and showing your support of the Arc of Butte County.
We need volunteers to staff this years Holiday Gift Wrap Booth.
The Arc’s annual Holiday Gift Wrap Booth has been a festive tradition for over 30 years. This important fundraiser is made possible with the help of volunteers from the community. Over the years, many individuals, families, local groups and clubs have volunteered as a way to give back to the community during the holiday season.

ARC's Gift Wrap Booth Volunteers
“It’s great fun, “says Patti Thomas, Arc Associate Director, “My son Michael and I always spend a few hours each season at the booth wrapping gifts. We get to spend time together and spread holiday joy at the same time.”
We’d like to ask you to help spread a little holiday cheer with us by helping wrap gifts in our booth this holiday season.
When: December 19th thru 24th
Where: Both the Chico ARC Store @ 2020 Park Avenue and the Oroville ARC Store @ 2745 Oro Dam Blvd.
All proceeds from this fundraiser stay local and benefit the Arc’s Family Support Programs.
Whether you can give an hour or an afternoon we’d love to have you join us. Please, contact me so we can find the best spot for you on the volunteer schedule.
Happy Holidays!

We Won 1ST PLACE… again!!!
From the “Best Of Chico” Guide in the CN&R… “Chico’s ARC Store is a great thrift store town, and the favorite (for several years running now) is the south-Chico behemoth known simply as The Arc. In an ongoing circle of recycling, people and businesses of Chico drop off their used clothing, kitchen wares, books, records, electronic equipment and furniture, only to return and pick up more bargains to replace their donated goods. Of course, Arc is a lot more than your typical thrift store; the money from your purchases goes to the Arc of Butte County, the local program that serves the disabled in our community.”

Thank you to everyone who voted for us! We appreciate your support of the ARC Store and the ARC of Butte County!
What are you suppose to do with that old computer collecting dust in the garage? You know it has toxic chemicals that must be disposed of properly or it will pollute our soil and ground water…but exactly how do you dispose of it?? Well, you bring it to the Arc!
You’ll be happy to know that the Arc in cooperation with WTP will be hosting a “E-Waste Recycling Drop Off” Day Saturday Oct 3rd from 9am to 2pm. “Basically, we’ll accept anything with a plug.” says Brenda Easter, Arc Thrift Store manager.
Bring all your obsolete electronics and we’ll dispose of it all in accordance with State Regulations. We’ll take your CRT’s (TV’s, monitors, laptops), all universal waste like radios, VCR’s, keyboards, cell phones and more will be accepted.
The ARC Store will be accepting E-Waste in both Chico & Oroville!
