On Your Mark, Get Set, Go to Arc In The Park & Support the Arc Stores
The Arc of Butte County is hosting the inaugural Arc In The Park, a 1 mile walk and 5K run through beautiful Bidwell Park in Chico on Saturday, April 25th, 2015. Individuals with all levels of abilities are encouraged to participate. Begin your wellness routine at Arc In The Park, enjoy the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air all while helping raise funds for individuals with developmental disabilities served by the Arc Stores.
The 5K run will begin at 8 a.m. and follow the 5K route established by Bidwell Park and the City of Chico. The 1 mile walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. with designated walkers leading the way. Whether you plan to participate in the walk or run depends on your level of confidence and ability.
Registration is online only through the day of the event. To be assured of receiving an event tee-shirt, your registration must be completed no later than April 15th. Late registration is April 16th through the 25th and does not guarantee an event tee-shirt. Extra shirts will be ordered, but will be distributed first-come, first-served at packet pick-up.
The Details
Pre-race packet pick up will take place on Friday, April 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Chico Arc Store, 2020 Park Avenue, Chico. Day of packet pick-up will begin at 7 a.m. through 7:45 a.m. for the 5K race and 8:15 a.m. through 9:15 a.m. for the 1 mile walk.
Haven’t walked or run in a Bidwell Park event before? Don’t let that stop you. Begin a new tradition of healthy living and join other first-timers and old-timers, challenge yourself to make a difference in both your life and the lives of others by registering today. We’ll have folks cheering you on, encouraging you to give it your all, and you will have such a feeling of accomplishment when you cross the finish line.
Prizes and accolades will be awarded to the overall winners in both the female and male categories in the timed 5K race.
