Support Local Businesses: Attend the Taste of Chico
Want to experience what Chico has to offer? Don’t miss the Taste of Chico September 14 in downtown Chico. This annual event showcases local and regional restaurants, breweries, wineries and beverage distributors.
The Taste of Chico is super fun and will save you time and money so you don’t have to try each restaurant over time. You can sample food and drinks from tons of local restaurants all in one day! This is a great event to spend with friends or take your family to.
There’s something for everyone, young and old. There’s also local entertainment and art stands. Not to mention, the downtown shops that are available to shop in.
If you’re a beer drinker, you’ll be excited to hear that they are expanding the beer garden section this year. Yep, that’s right. You heard me loud and clear—beer garden. If you weren’t already excited for this event, we bet you are now!
There’s also many more changes this year such as:
New date: The Taste of Chico will no longer be on the first opening day of football, which in years past it has been. I know all you football fans are jumping for joy right now!
New location: Food and drink booths will be surrounding the Downtown Chico City Plaza from Broadway to Flume on 4th and 5th Street.
Tickets: There will be student discounts available and more locations to buy tickets prior to the event. Tickets can be purchased at the event or beforehand at the Downtown Chico Business Association office, Diamond W Western Wear, Formal Education, Made in Chico and Tri Counties Bank locations.
Bike Valet: Ride to the Taste of Chico and park your bike safely for free. No need to worry about where you will secure your bike. Plus, biking means you’ll save on gas money and zoom in there quicker than most of the cars!
Kids Zone: An entire area dedicated for kids and families. This area will feature a bounce house, balloons, face painting, nursing station and other fun activities for the entire family.
Expanded Art Gallery: Check out local artist masterpieces in an expanded art gallery area. You’ll be surprised at how much talent some local Chicoans have!
