When shopping, stay strong and keep to your list until you’re done. At the end you can pick up a few extras. This way you’re sure to get the basics first before you get distracted.

Tip # 3 – Streamline Your Wardrobe

Streamline your wardrobe by making sure you only buy clothes and accessories that you feel good wearing. If you try something on and it makes you feel great, then buy it. You probably feel fantastic because the fit is right, the colors are perfect, and the style is current. Also, go through your closets and purge anything that doesn’t scream ‘Yes!’

Tip #4 – Buy On Sale or Discounted

Ask the store manager at your local thrift store when the next sale will be. A good sale can save a thrift store shopper a lot of money. Many stores discount a particular colored tag each day. Often there are Senior Discount Days too, which can offer you more savings. Finally, check to see if your store offers coupons. If so, see where they’re published or if they’re online.

If you want to be a true frugal fashionista you should learn to understand the tricks of the trade. There is a method to the madness of being a wise thrift store shopper.
